Pop Tell me about the Old Days

Hey POP,
Tell me about the Old days,
Tell me about working at the Ole Saw mill,
About the old mule that pulled the logs to the mill,
Like I heard you say so many times,

For when you are talking,
Of those days,
I see a different person in you,
I see happiness and laughter,

Hey Pop,
Tell me those good Ole Trucking Stories,
Tell me how that Ole Gas Engine Truck,
Out Pull that new Diesel Truck,

For when you are talking,
Of those days,
I see a different person in you,
I see happiness and laughter,

Hey Pop,
Tell me about your Job,
There at Argo Trucking,
How you played that trick on Shorty,
Cause he always wanted a piece of Gum,

For when you are talking,
Of those days,
I see a different person in you,
I see happiness and laughter,

For you have had a hard life,
And your been retired,
Long before you wanted to,
All because you a Diabetic,
All I see is a sad,
Broken Hearted Man,
In your eyes,

Hey Pop,
Tell me of the Old Days,
For when you are talking,
Of those days,
I see a different person in you,
I see happiness and laughter,

Mom's Love for Pop
I find myself following his dreams,
and doing what he wanted to do
and could not. After many talks,
through out the years, I seen my
self in him, or Pop in me.  I can only
hope to be as half as good as he
was.
He told me once he wished he
could had gone into the Military,
but could not cause of his health, I
did join.  He always talked about
Trucking, I drove truck for 4 years.
He could not sit Ideal, Nether can I.
So I must say I am following his
steps and doing what he could not.
